Rental FAQ


Where are you located? 
Monahan Road Business Park (About 3min drive from the city centre, or 15min from the airport).

Do you rent outside of Co. Cork? 
Yes. However, it is typically only practical for large orders.

Do you deliver?
Yes. We offer free delivery in the Cork City area and very competitive rates across Munster.

Can you provide crew in addition to equipment? 
Yes. Many rental customers look to us for additional crew. We can provide gaffers, camera-ops, sound crew, location support crew (incl. drivers) and as we are local we can help you source complete crews.

Do you also sell equipment? 
No, except for consumable such as gels, bulbs, tape etc.

Do you discount extended rentals 
Yes. We offer a four day week rate, so if you pay for four days you get three days free. Please call for longer term rentals.

Do you offer student rental rates? 
Yes. We were student film makers once and know your pain. Contact us and we'll see if we can help (but we don't do freebies).

What Is The Payment Policy For First-Time Customers? 
First time rentals are COD (either by cash, cheque). However, credit terms are available after a credit application is completed and approved. This is generally only available to established companies or repeat clients.

Do you require insurance from your customers for rental orders? 
Yes. We require a certificate of insurance showing proof of Liability and Rented/Leased Equipment coverage. SLR Broadcast Hire must be listed as “Additional Insured” and “Loss Payee” on the certificate.

What Other Paperwork Is Required To Rent Equipment? 
New customers renting equipment on a dry hire will also need to provide two forms of ID (at least one with a photo ie. passport, driving licence, national identity card) and a utility bill showing their home address.

What forms of payment do you accept? 
Cheque, bank draft, cash, credit card (via PayPal), wire transfer (Iban)

What if I lose or break equipment that I have rented from you? 
We bill you for the replacement or repair.

What if I want to extend my rental for a longer duration? 
Usually this is no problem. Just let us know right away so we can process an extension for you.

What if equipment that I rent does not work properly? 
While we do everything we can to ensure proper operation equipment can break. Notify us immediately if this occurs so arrangements can be made to remedy the situation.

Can I rent a SLR van and drive it myself?
For insurance purposes only approved SLR drivers are permitted to drive our vehicles. However, if you would like rental equipment delivered and picked up from a job we will make arrangements. There is also a van and truck rental company situated nearby that we can recommend.
